As a coach I offer a list of services that include Professional Organization and Re-purposing that are very budget friendly. In a very short amount of time I can create major impact to a living space with very little budget.

Step one is always to evaluate how do you live in the space?

Step two is how to deal with the objects currently residing in the space. I find hampers, boxes or bins are a great tool for the initial sorting. Having these items on hand prohibits the running of items from room to room which can lead to distraction from the original task. Fill the boxes with items to go somewhere else and don't deliver those items until your completely done sorting the current room.

Step three post its are a great tool for identifying what large pieces of furniture need to stay in the room or are not currently servicing the need. After all some furniture pieces are made to last a lifetime but not all lifetimes are serviced by one piece of furniture

Step four I use a designers eye to help you rethink the use of your existing pieces. Often the result is the realization that there is too much furniture in a room or that there are furnishings that are no longer servicing the living space as originally planned. The bonus is I can help you sell off the old pieces and perhaps generate cash flow for use on new more fully functional pieces or, I can help you identify something you may already have as a better alternative. Re-purposing is FREE!

Why not re use what you have? No one is better equipped to take a fresh look at your old stuff than a trained decorator. We see potential where you might see "old hat". Much like the process I use when staging a home, I scan your home and spaces for items that could service your living style an a whole new way.

Another feature of re-purposing is seasonal. I am available year round to show you new ways to update a look from season to season. When looking to have new drapes for example. Why now invest in a set of drapes that reverse? A super money saving way to have two looks from one purchase. I am available for Holiday party planning as well. Remodeling

Home remodeling is all about altering the space in which you currently live, giving it new life and a new look and feel through aesthetic and practical changes both large and small.

The first and most important piece of remodeling advice is that it is important to define the scope of your project before you begin.  Perhaps you want to restore function and upgrade aspects of your home which are worn out or broken down, increasing your homes value.  Perhaps you need more living space for a growing family – more bathrooms and bedrooms to  meet the needs of new family members.Or perhaps you would like to “go green” in order to support the environment and cut down on your energy bills.  First, define the problems that you have with the way your home currently is, and then determine what could be changed to make things work better.

Once you have defined what it is about your home that you would like to change, the next piece of remodeling advice to follow is to define the look that you want your new home to have.  Do you want your new space to blend in with the old look of your home, or do you want to create a new look entirely?  Changing the moldings, doors, window fixtures, flooring materials, and wall treatment can drastically change the look of your home to the point that you won’t recognize it anymore.  If you are remodeling the kitchen, you will want to establish a style of cabinets, counter tops, sinks, faucets and other appliances.  In terms of bathrooms, you’ll want to determine what style of shower, sinks, toilet you would like, and if you want to consider luxury options such as steam showers or shower spas.  Write down all of your remodeling ideas and brainstorm as much as you like – this is your dream home you are creating, after all, so have fun with it!

Now that you have established what sort of remodeling project you are looking to complete, the next important piece of remodeling advice to consider is what your role in the project is going to be.  Successful remodeling requires many different types of skills – carpentry, plumbing, electric, roofing, and so forth.  It also requires a certain level of design and managerial talent.  I have project managed successful remodeling jobs for 23 years. Life Style Transitions

This part of my business has gained more and more of my interest over the past few years. Like more and more of you I am having the gift of a long life. As a part of that gift I have been fortunate enough to be the support for a few of my aging family members. My first experience was helping Lucy my mother-in-law. An independent sole until the end. During the Lucy years it became crystal clear that there was a prevailing need to help not only the elderly but the family of the elderly when it came to lifestyle changes that not only made homes safer but easier to age in. I quickly found the resources I needed and became a member of the National Association of Senior Move managers (NASMM). Today I am able to be the voice of experience when it comes to lifestyle transitions. Not all my clients are as elderly as Lucy. Most in fact are just trying to deal with downsizing or relocation to an assisted or alternative living location. I can provide everything from packing and moving to relocation room setups. I can insure your safety needs are met for walkers, wheelchairs or walking canes. I can deal with the dispersing items you wish to gift to family and items that need selling or donating. I can make your home safe and inviting for many years to come leaving you secure in the knowledge that this transition was done with just you and your well being in mind.

One of the more recent clients I helped was my own husband a USPS mail carrier before his well deserved retirement. I was able to update our home in time for him to recover successfully in the comfort of our own home. Eliminating the need for recover at a much more costly and uncomfortable location. Now, don't we all want that?
Having gone through these experiences first hand now with so many new client friends I can say that not only does it allow the client to sleep well at night but for the families where I am there in their stead, it give them great comfort to know their loved ones are in good hands.
